Description

USAHS awards this scholarship to one applicant each at the Austin, Dallas and San Marcos campuses in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. The scholarship funds are applied to tuition and fees only.

MS-SLP applicants for the 2025 Spring term at the Austin, Dallas and San Marcos campuses may apply for the Outstanding Academic Achievement Scholarship, which is awarded in equal trimester-based increments throughout the program. Deadline to apply is December 2, 2024.

The scholarship is awarded to the entering students who best meets the following criteria:

Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. A short (500–1000 word) essay summarizing your academic experiences. Only scholarship applications where a student has started and/or completed their CSDCAS application will be considered.

To retain the Outstanding Academic Achievement Scholarship, the recipient must:

Remain a full-time student in good standing in the applicable degree program. Scholarships are not transferable to any other University degree program. Remain enrolled in all courses in the established curricular pathway for the applicable program. Withdrawing from a course would remove a student from the established curricular pathway, causing them to be ineligible for the scholarship for the subsequent trimester. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Scholarship award may only be applied to tuition and fees.

Any scholarship recipient who falls below a full course schedule or below the overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 will be given one term to raise their cumulative GPA to 3.5 or above and receive a scholarship disbursement for that term. If unable to return to a full course schedule or achieve an overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the term, will be ineligible for a scholarship disbursement for any subsequent terms.
